Eaton Introducing Fifth Element of Converged Infrastructure at Cisco Live

June 20, 2013 … Eaton today announced it will introduce its power management solutions as the “fifth element” of converged infrastructure at Cisco Live, Cisco’s® annual information technology (IT) and communications conference. Joining server, network, software and storage elements, Eaton’s fully integrated, scalable solutions are designed to simplify power deployment in virtualized environments and provide IT and data center professionals with highly configurable, scalable and reliable equipment protection.

Eaton’s Intelligent Power™ Manager software (IPM) allows users to manage their entire power infrastructure remotely and directly through leading virtualization management platforms. Additional benefits include the planned movement of data to a backup disaster recovery site, and sophisticated load shedding capabilities that increase the uptime of critical business workloads in the event of a power disruption.

Eaton Power Quality product manager Jim Tessier and product marketing manager Doug Cirruzzo will meet with Cisco Live attendees at booth number 507 to discuss how Eaton’s uninterruptible power systems (UPSs) and IPM software enhance uptime and business continuity in virtualized environments.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with the highly-efficient 5P UPS, recently expanded to include a compact tower, and 1U and 2U form factors.

Cisco Live, Cisco’s annual IT and communications conference, will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. from June 22 to 27. Cisco Live provides professionals with the knowledge, skills and training needed to capitalize on the emerging opportunities that the Internet of Everything creates. To learn more, visit .
