Eaton Continues Commitment to Managed Service Providers with Kaseya Power Monitoring and Management Collaboration

RALEIGH, N.C... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton today announced collaboration with Kaseya, a provider of enterprise-class information technology (IT) systems management solutions, to bring managed service providers (MSPs) real-time visibility and control of Eaton’s highly efficient uninterruptible power systems (UPSs) and ePDU® power distribution devices.

“In today’s digital age it is more important than ever for MSPs to ensure nothing interrupts their customers’ IT networks,” said Ramesh Menon, director, global channel marketing, Eaton’s Distributed Power Quality Division. “Eaton’s Kaseya integration provides a comprehensive environmental and power system monitoring and management solution that will expand service capabilities, increase recurring revenues, strengthen customer relationships to open the door for new business opportunities.”

The integration allows MSPs to audit power management events and quickly identify the sources of power disruptions by remotely monitoring the status of their customers’ power hardware. Users can prevent downtime by receiving alerts on network power events and UPS operational health, including remaining power and projected lifespan of UPS batteries, and insight on when to replace batteries for specific UPS models.

Additionally, Kaseya users can utilize Eaton’s Managed and Monitored ePDU rack-based power distribution units to obtain high-accuracy monitoring and management of power devices at the individual outlet level. When paired with an Eaton Environmental Monitoring Probe, MSPs can also automate actions and receive alerts when humidity and temperature threaten rack hardware.

“The ability to monitor numerous power and environmental statistics directly from Eaton power devices will allow Kaseya users to quickly address server room issues before they become major problems,” said Benjamin Lavalley, senior manager OEM and strategic initiatives, Kaseya. “Users can also utilize remote management capabilities to extend the life of aging equipment with strategic, safe resets when power conditions threaten IT infrastructures. This interoperability will provide Kaseya users with a simple, streamlined solution for reducing downtime and optimizing system performance.”
